Hello all,

We're doing another survey, it is focused on primarily the gamemode. We decided to keep it similar to last year, with some questions being the same to allow us to compare the two. The biggest difference from last year is that we are no longer interested in making a new gamemode and will be modifying our current instead. It shouldn't take longer than 10 minutes to complete and we'd like to hear responses from everyone, regardless of how much you've played on the server. We're going to use the results of this survey to shape our plan going forward and prioritise things you'd like to see the most over the next few months.

This is democracy. There's a wide collection of maps in there, and you weren't asked to vote on it. You were asked to give your opinion on how much you like each one of them. From that, it's going to boil down to a beautiful statistical dataset from which the map will be chosen. If majority wants to play on evocity maps, then so be it.

Now here's the real statistical challenge: Making a decision from the missing data samples (in this example, the 'new' players that aren't partaking in survey and might avoid joining the server simply because they don't like/know the next map).

That's the reason why the survey asked you how much you like the maps, not which map you wish to play on. It's not just the question which map you want to play on, but also the question which map will the new people play on.

What has changed since all the devs saying the current gamemode is too old and shit to be able to improve to now not making a new gamemode at all?
