The most used argument is "It's not gonna promote passiveRP". Now, that doesn't make sense because we already have guns. Is the matter of optimization and quality. The guns lags for some people and they aren't as functional as they should be (EG takes a clip to kill someone). Models are so 2008 and the FA:S won't only influence the quality and optimization, but also the economy. It has attachments and we could finally set the prices to correct ones.
Overall I find it stupid saying it don't promote passiveRP consider we already have guns, but they are just so shit and makes the whole gameplay (including passiverp) shit.

Well ghost, it's not certain we'd get new weapons at all. But if they were ever to be replaced, I'd presume so (just like the cars).

I'm assuming attachments are sold from a gun dealer?

We could make it so attachments could be sold by both Gun-Dealers and Black-Market Dealers.
We could also make it so some attachments are standard for government, and making it so they'd have to use their own attachments if they want to upgrade their weapons further.
