Also, maybe make it so you can untie them without the aid of a knife, but it takes dramatically longer? And will the character who ties the other character up be able to untie them like normal?

On Revolt, i use to play on (Until it shut down) and they had this, which i thought was pretty good, because it meant that if you knew where they had stolen your friend, you could go and save him!
