I haven't been able to buy doors. Whenever I press F2 next to a door, nothing happens. Is there a bind to do this?

This happened to me, as well. Go to the controls section, and f2 should be binded to "team menu". That fixed it for me.

All the F2, F3 and F4 is in the options tab. If it is not possible to bind it with keyboard and console, it is in the options menu.
Systems with low or shallow player-to-player interaction erode the social dynamics that keeps FL interesting.
