So, as of late I've been having some major issues with my mic. A few days ago it just suddenly stopped working leaving behind a horrible static effect meaning whenever I try to use my mic, in short terms, I can't.
This is what I, and other hear, whenever I try to use my mic. I've tried 2 different mic jacks to no avail. I'd rather not get a new mic if I can avoid it as this is a rather expensive mic.

If there is no possible feasible way to fix this kind of static problem then do you have any suggestions for a cheap(ish) headset?
EDIT: Muting my mic via. any means still generates the same issue.
