For some reason when I get into a gun battle now, I lag for every shot fired- this has happened recently and i do not know the cause or a fix... does anyone have any suggestions ?

Does this happen when you fire, when someone else fires, or when anyone fires?
Have you done anything to Garrysmod that you think may have caused it?
Try a fresh install of the FLContent?

This also sometimes happens to me, so it be a real help if someone knew how to fix it.

Does this happend only on the server, or on everything on garry's mod? because if Garry's mod lags hard for you, I would try to reinstall it. To give it a fresh restart.

You could have an outdated graphics card

Not sure if my issue is related:

I never really lag with 'gun fire' persé, but today, i was in multiple raids, and in quite a few of them, my game randomly closed itself, showing no error message or anything of the type. It only seems to happen mid-fight with at least 5 people shooting.

I think that's another issue as I get it too sometimes, randomly and out of nothing.
