cant join servers?

hey so ive been gone for a few weeks maybe a month, and i have recently returned to Pc so now every time i try joining the servers and i cant, it starts normal (retrieving server info) then it starts to download it freezes, for about 3 - 5 minutes when it unfreezes it says i have timed out. I have tried other games and all work except garry's mod, i can play singleplayer and everything not multiplayer. I have verified the game chache, reinstalled garrys mod and joining singleplayer before entering a server none has fixed, if you can help it would please respond.

Please provide more details such as server, internet speed, port/firewall etc

Your addons. This happens to so many people, you cannot have that many addons installed if your computer cannot hold it, try un-installing your addons by unsubscribing.

i only have the FL needed addons, and Burnett i tried every Fl server it freezes wile im downloading stuff for it doe when i have it windowed and task maneger opened it says not responding then for my friends (in the server) it tells them i timed out.

What exactly does it crash on downloading? If it's an addon of some sort then maybe someone could supply the file manually for you to download and place appropriately.

Ask a staff member, or preferably a staff member with access to the download files, to basically send you that file and manually place it wherever it needs to go.

Try doing this:
1. Go to your steam libary and look for Garry's Mod.
2. Right-Click on Garry's Mod and go on "Properties".
3. Choose: "Set Launch Options" and type '-autoconfig' in the text box.
4. Open Gmod then try and join a FL server again.
This may or may not work. However it is worth a try.
