Looking for ideas on how to give a new life for an old laptop that has a broken motherboard.

Already stripped it for the HDD, made it to a portable memory unit.

LCD works fine for example, any ideas on what I could build with that?

Move any parts possible from it to the comp your using, and use the LCD as a double monitor :3

And would you know how I could get the laptop screen to power up and show an image without any chipsets attached on it?
