I didn't play when V2D was on last year because nobody told me it was on.

There lies your problem.

The last TWO times V2D was a server/main server, it failed miserably both times.

This was in 2018, not 2015/2016, Fearless then could work with V2D as the content suited it and the other maps Fearless used were around the same quality (v33x/v2p). Fearless nowadays couldn’t work with V2D as the content (playermodels, cars, etc) looks alien and doesn’t fit with the map, and since 2016, Fearless has used many better (or better looking) maps such as v4b1, Littletown, v5p, and Pines.

That is just with the map alone though, I haven’t touched on how it was used by the way playerbase.

 V2D in early 2018 was quite popular for most of the first week, before the playerbase stabilised at about 10, and basically became a map only useful for contrafarming. Jump forward a little bit to mid-2018 and V2D becomes the main map as Pines caused many players to crash. What happens this time round? Absolute tomfoolery ensues. Over the top gunfights that seem to be constant and never-ending, this sometimes affects other roleplays in the inner-city area either disrupting them or stopping other players interacting with those roleplays. In the end, another map vote occurs at v4b1 wins as the majority that voted knew how much of a mess and a sad joke V2D was.

Anything but V2D still has potential, go with what works.
