Minges that were banned in the past won't care to check if they are still banned or not. This is just a lie some people say. In reality, the only people that would return if a ban wipe was to happen, would be people that want to join the community again.

But what's stopping them from writing an unban request?
If it's been a while and they legit want to return, then they have good chances of having the UBR accepted.

Nothing is stopping them from writing an unban request. That still does not change the fact that a ban wipe or at least something similar to it would re-populate the server.

You clearly weren't here for the first banwipe.
Also what Siphon said ^.

Lol when the first ban wipe happened GMOD was not a dying game, now it is.

Dying game? https://steamcharts.com/app/4000

Gmod isn't dying, 15th highest multiplayer game. We only need 75 people from a 40,000 player game on our servers to be full. We should easily be able to get that and I don't see how a ban wipe will assist with this.

A ban wipe isn't needed, a fresh update and something that will excite players is what is needed. Not a mechanic update, something to make money fast however not ruin the economy in the mean-time. A weed revamp/contra revamp would really add a new element to the server.

Although I appericate the dev teams work it just simply isn't what the community needs atm.

While gmod isn't dying, there's been a really interesting "shift" of gamemodes. Older gamemodes like Flood, Jailbreak and old RP frameworks have started to die out while newer ones like SWRP take their place.

When people say GMod is a dying game they are wrong however gamemodes like CityRP are.

Same old maps, same old cars, same old roleplays, same old everything. Eventually things die. Move on.

Create something new, adapt.

The game isn't dying, nor is the gamemode.

People want to find more interesting forms of roleplay, and this is what Fearless needs to cater for with unique and consistent updates. This will draw in more players. We need better referral schemes and actual server promotion in appropriate places online. This stuff was identified by Ghostkiller and other users a while back, but nothing has been actioned as far as I'm aware.

A ban wipe is not the answer.

The game mode is not dying? FL gets an average of 20 people, maybe 30 on weekends.
