Furthermore, the development continues to be slow but sure, it brings up minor updates here and there which have very little impact on the server its self. So this issue needs to be addressed before anything. Another thing is the lack of developers, hats off to Arny hes a young dev, he should be out enjoying himself yet, hes grinding shit for the server, hes more active than the majority of the staff team. Why hasnt he got admin, dev? Deserves it plus would do a better job than some of the people in the team, hes proven he cares for FL. Then how does promoting devs work? The dev team needs to be bigger. Look at Aektek for example, hes shown tremendous loyalty towards the server in the past year, being a contributor for over a year. He has shown hes willing to make and push updates. So why isnt he dev? You going to give him dev when its too late, because at this rate you should be relying on people like him. You dont pay the developers so i dont see the big issue in why they are never promoted.

Development won't ever be consistent unless Developers are paid or atleast get something in return. It's very easy to burn out all the motivation you get after being promoted, I burnt out after a few months of my promotion and Arny likely now has too. You can't really expect much at all out of the Development team, they already do too much for what they're getting in return. Dev-admins are a thing Soul is massively against (the only exception was Awestruck, but that's another story), so I doubt that will ever happen. I don't agree with the reasoning behind it, but it is what it is.

Totally agree with you. Development at Fearless is literally only a hobby (unless you actually sign a contract with SoulRipper and are paid for your work). It's easy to lose motivation when you are not necessarily expected to do anything. Alongside that, players within the Community can be a major de-motivator when it comes to it sometimes. On the contrary, SoulRipper was never against Developers with Administrator privileges. It was me who was against it funnily enough. However, I have changed my tune. I do believe it can be incredibly easy to balance both Development and Administration if prioritised correctly.

On the topic of V2D. It's clear that the Community is incredibly split on the matter. When we got V2D back the last time, it didn't feel the same as it was before. No-one was really role-playing, because it was boring to do so and not many role-plays were acknowledged. Whether this was down to lack of Staff presence or lack of Teacher presence (due to even less people being around to issue Roleplay Points), I do not know. The community has definitely changed since the V2D days, but I don't think going back in time to feed the hope of nostalgia will fix this issue.

You will see where im coming from when i say this.

Back in 2015-16 V2D was the best map for roleplay. Every shop and roleplay would all flow together nicely. The balance was simply amazing. If you wanted to aggressive and could run v33x that was the map to go to for aggressive back then.

However, i wasnt able to play the server with the last time v2d was available to us, with the contra.

But with that said the community has changed. The staff team isnt as good, the players are also not as good. No one promotes roleplay, not the staff or players. Bring back teacher if you have to, or like an experienced player role. Just something for people to look up to and follow when they play the server or the current staff need to make more of an effort. Since the removal of the teacher rank, its up to the staff team to now promote passive roleplay, to teach and encourage roleplay etc.
