Contrafarming is Getting Worse.

Wow, that's a LOT of contra right there. Frankly, I'm amazed!

If there's anything positive to say about this, it seems that it was at least "organized" in an RPish manner, what with the proper storage & surveillance props present.

Also, we've discussed about what to do about the issue in this thread:

Seems Soul picked some of the ideas there was for implementation! Great news!

Not the best way to promote passive RP. I think contrafarmers are better than mass raiders.

We did indeed raid to get it all, but not how most people in the server raid. Firstly, we had to have pictures to confirm that the place we are going to hit has contraband. We then take about 15 minutes to plan it out, and make sure everyone knows what they are going to be doing during the raid. When we raid we try to do it at the perfect time, and most of the contraband you see there was taken without us firing a shot. They are locked up to prevent contrawhoring which does promote passive rp. We like to put effort in everything that we do, even raiding. There is a lot of passive rp involved in this process. We don't raid randomly or even do it to get money, we do it because we think that there needs to be more roleplay and less contrawhoring. It is a good way to promote passive rp in individuals because it eliminates the option of just sitting in a house contrawhoring all day.

How about you donate that time and effort to building or organizing a passive roleplay event for the server. Would serve a much a higher purpose than getting you guys rich.

Lol silly strom, they don't claim the money at all. I've seen it myself. All they do is confiscate, store it and RP the whole detective agency thing, it's good Tounge

I'm just a bit annoyed they keep relating clans to the DEA - That needs to stop, it stops some people wanting to RP with them.

We dont get rich off this Strom, if anything we loose money, since the contras cant be refilled by us, usualy their at 2 energy by time we get to them, and informants cost money.

Theres a lot of passive RP that leads up to these raids, its just seen by the teams of DEA agents and informants, all behind the scenes.

We only do this when it gets to the point where somthing needs to be done, there were 4-5 active and painfully obvious contra farms up when we started, and it got worse for awhile until we started to hit them. Normaly we do normal passive, i myself love to run the monorail or my bar, but when theres that may massive bases with people just sitting on the walls with AKs out and yelling at anyone who gets near "What are you doing here!" while aiming at them, somthing needs to be done.

Also soul, any chance of a moneyprinter model change as well as making it so moneyprinters money needs to be traded to the NPC? Maybe anything you have from a contra can be auto taken away, or a chunk of it taken away for each time your arrested and sent to jail "Not just handcuffed, only full blown arrest"

I didn't really fancy the idea of trading the money to the NPC thing, cause with all of these new improvments, it'll only be fair that the money printer would give you actual... money

Sorta dumb when you think of it, you are trading contra money for money... pretty dumb! Honestly who would trade money for money? Huh
#27
Counterfitted money needs to be laundered before it can be used, same with drug money, or any other kind of ill gotten money, you circulate the fake money for real money so its not your problem anymore

Everyone with the great ideas please remember! Fearless is still a semi-serious RP server...

We actually do passive roleplay. We have set up a monorail that takes people around the map, we set up research labs below the nexus or we will do court rp. We roleplay as the DEA when we believe that there is too much contrawhoring going on at the time, which is usually when you see only 1/4 of the people in the server walking around. You also seem to think this is for profit; we do not profit from this an any way. The contra cannot be refilled by us and the money generated by them is burned. We work with the government and there is a lot of passive rp that goes into this which includes the police and the contrafarmers.

Um, hate to burst your bubble but... Soul disallowed the monorail, map is far too small for it to be realistic (I lost my crane too, but oh well).

It's all good, only problem I have here is 'we'. I want to change clan RP so that it doesn't exclude others so much. I've asked a few people and they were always not wanting to join the DEA simply because it was very largely based off FUMUKU. I have no problem with FUMUKU, they were great allies before with my clan, but if you do a major job as a clan, it doesn't work.

If you want to do your car storage thing or a clan restaurant or casino, fine by me. But when you take up major spaces or do major RP as a government entity I'm not really that cool with that, as it discourages others from joining in. i.e. I would prefer if you didn't class the DEA as a FUMUKU thing, it's not, it shouldn't be related to FUMUKU in any way at all, it's a government RP thing. Same applies to the nexus labs, if it takes place there, it's government science RP.
