Yes, head to options via the pause menu, go to video, then advanced, and in the top left there will be a section called "Model detail". Set that to high.

Boom, problem gone.

As said in the posts above this is an easy issue to fix. It is requirement of high definition car models that will enable then to display properly.

The solution is simple, set the Texture detail and Model detail to the highest setting. To access these setting go to the main menu in Gmod > Options > video > Advanced Settings.
