Steam

I know this isn't to do with FL but I'm sure you could help me.

When I came back from holiday I had a problem of Steam having connection problems and then I re-installed steam and gmod.

About 2-3 weeks I'm having the same problems and I re-installed steam and its still not working and my router if fine (BT-Infinity) and all other devices are fine but its just steam, I asked my friend who lives in the same village and has steam and gmod and he has the same broadband as mine and he is not having any problems?

If you could help me that would be brill !!!!!    Cheese Cheese

Here are some possible ways to fix your issue:

Method 1

First of all try running steam as administrator, to do this right click on the steam desktop icon and click "Run as administrator"

Method 2

1. Exit Steam.
2. Click Start > Run (Windows Key + R).
3. Type the following command:
4. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\bin\SteamService.exe" /repair
5. Launch Steam and test the issue again.

Method 3

1. Exit Steam.
2. Click the Start button, then All Programs, and Accessories.
3. Right-click on Command Prompt and click Run as administrator....
4. In the command prompt, type the following commands and press Enter after each command:
bcdedit /deletevalue nointegritychecks
bcdedit /deletevalue loadoptions
bcdedit /debug off
bcdedit /deletevalue nx
5. Restart your computer.
6. Launch Steam and test the issue again.

Basically, Run Command Prompt as administrator
Then copy the first one and right click and paste it into the command prompt (As CTRL + V doesn't work in command prompt) and hit enter. Do this for all of the commands.
1. "bcdedit /deletevalue nointegritychecks"
2. "bcdedit /deletevalue loadoptions"
3. "bcdedit /debug off"
4. "bcdedit /deletevalue nx"

Then restart your computer and try playing garry's mod

I'm sorry that is all I got.
Have a look around on google for a solution.
