Reason to join? Sounds like an extremely fun event that I would love to be a part of. I also enjoy events like these.

Describe your character after the start of the situation: I was sitting in headquarters, about to nod off, when I hear the loudspeaker and dispatch tones go off.
*Loud, long beep* Attention all units, respond to Metro International Airport for a barricaded suspects situation with hostages, requesting negociator. Be advised, suspects are to be considered armed and dangerous. Number of hostages unknown. Units to handle code 3, identify.
Noting that the suspects were to be considered armed and dangerous, I grabbed my nessessary gear and left my service weapon where it was. I was able to get a ride with GIGN Team Alpha to the airport. Upon my arrival, shots were fired and I immidiately grabbed my megaphone to attempt to start negociations.
