Is this allowed?

So, this happened a few weeks ago, and i forgot to post about it lol

I was president, had been for quite a few hrs by this point...

A rebel demanded i pay 2k for the release of a hostage, I talked him down instead

about an hr later, we get an advert telling us to look at the RT cam stream.

The rebels then executed 3 or 4 civillians and threatened to do it again unless i stand down..

pretty extreme situation, right?

so in order to ensure their capture, i made these laws:

... I never actually implemented these laws tho because i wasn't sure if they break the rules... they're pretty much on the line of what is allowed haha

I know the US apply these laws when looking for terrorists (searching door to door through whole neighborhoods)... so they arent unrealistic
so...

Under the most extreme situations, in order to protect civillians... Are these laws permitted?
It's very important to read what i say literally, I speak literally and if you try to "interpret" (Read between the lines) you may be offended or get the wrong point from what i say Smile   ( Asperger Syndrome sucks when you're talking to people)

This rule gets broken if you arrest people outside of their homes.
11.1 As President, you must follow the server rules. You cannot make any laws that conflict with them, example no 'Kill on sight, drive on left side of road, arrest on sight' laws.

Im not sure if implementing the "Police only need the reason "martial law" to instigate a search warrant" would be looping holing this rule:
14.4 You must have a valid reason to raid players, i.e. contraband, burglary, and needing to take hostages are all valid reasons.
1.11 Purposefully attempting to find loopholes in the rules will likely result in punishment.

14.4 and 1.11 are the main reasons i wasn't sure about the laws lol

you can see that fine line though, yeh? haha

I'd asked a moderator who was on at the time and he wasn't sure either lol

maybe if i do his in future i will say civillians should be handcuffed and escorted inside...

although, i thought we were allowed to arrest people outside during a lockdown?

that's why i said martial law would be linked to lockdowns Tounge

In the US the police also have to have probable cause to search a property.

Probable cause can be that there is a known terrorist inside an area, so reason to believe that there is a citizen-endorsed harbourage in a property within that zone, meaning all property is liable for search under the search act

Probable cause does not need to be applied to a single property, it can be subject to an entire area and all within.

His laws aren't arrest on sight, you are not supposed to be outside during a lockdown anyway. 14.4 is for criminal raids, look at the search warrant rules:
Quote:10.1 Do not randomly search a property; you must have probable cause. Some examples include:
10.1a Gunfire heard coming from within the property;
10.1b Criminal activity visible on the property;
10.1c A suspect on the property;
10.1d Contraband heard or visible on the property.
10.2 You must have a search warrant from the President to search the property, unless the lives of officers or hostages are at immediate risk.

So searching all of the city might not be allowed but an area would probably be ok
