Pretty stupid ban if you ask me, perm for that is too much. Hell, even a ban for that is too much. Telling from your side of the story, it was a damn joke and this ban was taking things to the very extreme in my opinion. Naming brands such as Facebook or Adidas is advertising then, by comparison of this extreme push of the rule ban. Total BS.

What he did was bad: posting a link of a porn site. He obviously joked about it, he doesn't have any financial benefits from it (I assume).

It's wrong though and a punishment should be given, for example a kick from the server or a blacklist in OOC. A permanent ban is too much in my opinion.
