there was not even a door on it? as i quote from the rules 'This means you cannot make it hard for the opposing force to raid you. (ex: mazes, having to crouch or jump over props, small firing holes.)' in what way is it hard for the opposing force to raid, when a door is not even placed.

The blockade that you placed had a very small space in which one person could walkthrough at a time, on the defending side you had steps on both parts of the blockade meaning as soon as anyone wwould get the chance to get up the elevator, you could easily gun them down. They would have to run straight in to have the slightest chance.
