Help with playing this on a MacBook Pro

I have been trying to download everything needed to play this game for the past two days. My problem is that I finally managed to start playing the game but I get error signs on the cars and most of the player models. I have Counter Strike: Source but I do not have Half life: episodes 1&2. Although it's recommended I know that even without HL, my friends can at least see the cars and player models.

So my questions are:
1.How do you unzip these material packs on the mac(it's extremely confusing with the "stuffitexpander)?
2.Is there anything I need to download that I havent yet to fix these problems?

Any help would be greatly appreciated and I'm sorry if this is way to vague.

Also I am playing on the evocity_v33x version.
