Headphones & Mouse Pad
#1
Hey you guys. Let's take it one by one.

Headphones:
Alright so currently I am in possession of the Steelseries 5H v2 headphones.
However they're in a pretty bad shape - The microphone doesn't work and the speakers are damaged and scratchy.
They can't play as loud as they used to also.

So, I'm looking for a nice pair of headphones to use for my PC. My soundcard is both 5.1 and 7.1 so that won't be a problem.
The important thing is that I am not looking for one with a microphone. I'd rather spend those money on sound quality.
This excludes specific "gaming headphones" with built-in mics, of course.

So within a price range of 150-210 dollars (or a little higher/little less) can I get some suggestions on what's good or not to get?
I've been looking a bit into Sennheiser but I'm not too sure.

Mouse Pad:
Currently I'm using the Razer Sphex mouse pad. It's quite cool but the durability is really bad and every time I move it, it becomes worse.
What I like about it is its size. I don't want some huge mouse pad with "pillows" for my wrist etc. Just something plain.

It is to work good with the Razer Deathadder mouse. Price range is not really important, I just want something good.

Headphones and gamer mouse pads dull products of present-day gaming indrusty. Don't own headphones and my mouse pad is old as Hell (has this epic picture in it). On a side note, Logitech MX518 mouse master race reporting in! So don't be a sunday gamer, you can play without ''proper'' gear.

I own one of these mousepads

I really like it, it's made from a heavy woven cloth which is really durable and doesn't have barely any friction.

I've also seen a lot of other FL members with this mousemat, check it out Smile

I'm not really talking about gamer gear at all. I'm talking about quality.
I don't care about "gamer" tags and such and I would never buy a set of Razer headphones.
You can't say that it's "present day gaming industry" to get something good.

When I'm talking about headphones I mean some that are both comfortable and has good sound. Shure, Sennheiser, Denon or along those lines.
You wont get ^ from some bad pair of headphones. That's why I wanted some advice.

I have this same pad, I love it. It's really large, so much that I have my middle and right monitor sitting on the top edges of it. I've also had it for quite a while, it doesn't seem to have visually or physically degraded at all, even from dirt/sweat on my wrist. I'm not sure what is up with the folds on the one in the preview picture, but mine is totally flat.

For headsets I can't give much input, I've been with the same one for just about ever, being this; [Image: image_1.jpg]

Super comfortable, I find the sound quality outstanding, and the mic is good for, everything else. Although I HAVE had to send it in for a new one because the wiring started to fritz about a week after purchase, but I'm sure that was a 1/1,000,000 situation. The one I have had for the longest time is still flawless.
