Props relative to wealth

As we can state, there is a clear difference in the value of props and materials used when creating certain environments. This enables us to seperate high from low value props. Think of the rusty barrels, the wood panels, blast doors, or computer screens.
When lower value props are used, logically it creates a low-value environment. This, however, can be contradicted by using materials and colors, as in different textures, which can transform props into higher value items. Let's take the Breen statue for example. On it's own, an ugly statue with a cracked texture. Let's apply a basic white texture (debugwhite) and a gold/dark yellow color to it. This instantly changes the relative "value" of the prop inmediately to that of a solid gold statue.
