My problem is as follows, when I get on the server (after having fought the flood of overflows and HL2 crashes). I will have a single moment where I can go around and read the chat but then I will begin disconnecting. I have tried everything, adding that line of code Soul have provided, putting it into the console, putting it into the launch options. Changing the settings and resolution so my last option is that one of you super genius can find some kind of information in the log and wave your magic it wand and summon a solution for me. Would somebody kindly give me a hand?

I found this after quickly searching the ConVar problem that seems to keep occurring.

"ISSUE SOLVED! Opening the game to the title screen and letting the game sit for 6 minutes eliminated the issue. I suggest that anyone with the same issue do this until Valve officially fixes it. "

This was with TF2 but perhaps try this, I will keep searching.

-dxlevel 81 worked for me 1 week ago but after that my game still crashed so I decided to reboot my pc , it was totally freaking out D:, but it worked Smile
