So Steam has announced a new feature to come, Steam's Big Picture.

Besides the better UI for a controller is there really much difference between this and hooking up your computer to a TV which you can do right now or is that pretty much it?

However, I'll definitely try it out as there's apparently a BETA testing coming soon.

From what I've read, I think that you still need to connect the computer to the TV. You just enable Steam to use big picture mode for 'controller mode'.
But yeah, I find a lot of games are much better played with a controller.

Yes it's still steam on a PC people who'd assume that you just download some app on the TV are just silly, you hook up your PC and click the big picture button and boom you're there.
