DAVID GREW UP IN AUSTIN, TEXAS WHERE HE ATTENDED SCHOOL UP UNTIL HIS GRADUATION FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS, WHERE HE STUDIED AND RECEIVED A DEGREE IN PSYCHOLOGY. AFTER ATTENDING UNIVERSITY, PHILLIPS HAD SERVED IN THE UNITED STATES NAVY FOR THE TIME OF HIS ENLISTMENT AND THEREAFTER DECIDED TO MOVE FORWARD AND JOINED FUMUKU.
