How is it a Broadcasting Corporation if it's just text? Did I misinterpret what a broadcast is?

You can broadcast text, a broadcast is to transmit a programme or information by something like a TV or a radio. This is informative of RPs or events that happened during a certain window of time ergo earning its title of a broadcast.
