[Solved] GMod Crash whenever i join server (Mac)

hl2_osx crashes everytime join the server, i have all the required games installed and mounted and all of it seems to work, the content packs are also installed. i have no idea what to do as i really want to play on the server again. my singleplayer performance is great and runs at a stable 60fps all the time and on other servers such as prop hunt it runs around 55-60fps. Help would be greatly appreciated.
