Obviously FL should not cater to old players - but new.
But believe it or not - all old players were also new at some point.
Going back to the roots is a good idea. But it needs to be done properly.
Unfortunately very few in development / management knows what that really entails.
I wish they'd ask for help.
When it comes to the player count - it is only natural. Hardly anyone who plays Gmod, knows about FL.
And it´s not easy to find apart from all other servers. How exactly do you expect players to arrive to the server? On a magic carpet?
If you couple that with months of weird development errors and bad insight - it is not hard to understand new people haven't been retained.
Now that we finally reverted, people aren't seeing immediate results, and they have given up.
I would rather argue this is the exact time people should be doing an effort.
