Mixing vocals/instruments
#1
I used to play in like 3 or 4 bands, but never managed to mix my own material, so I've currently bought a good mic and am willing to learn mixing and recording.

Do any of you guys have any experience with this? What kind of pre amp should i use, what kind of software is good for learning mixing? Give me your thoughts.

I don't know much about that stuff, but I heard mixcraft was a good software.

I also recommend Audacity, that's what I use for my basic recordings. (freeware)

Wish I could help you but the best I can mix is cake mix.

Audacity is kinda good, but the build in plugins are kinda wack imo, i use pro tools, which is like 800 bucks if you get it "legit".

Never heard ofmixcraft before, so i might check that one, see if plugins are kill
