I have both those components in my PC and they are good.
If you're wanting to do a 3 monitor setup then it's the graphics card(s) you should be focussing on.

Got to say the 4790k is awesome, have had no trouble with it at all. I suggest getting a H80I with it, as it does improve temperatures dramatically, and is pretty silent in general.

If I were you, i'd also buy a triple monitor stand. Gives you substantially more space if you need to use your desk for anything.
