This thread is not a finished product. It's still being actively worked on.
Background
The EC:FR was a response to the mounting cost of a public Fire and Rescue service, in 1953, set up by Albert B. Schafer. It gained media coverage for being the most cost effective solution to a Fire and Rescue service, having used elderly equipment donated to them by other Fire and Rescue departments, which was nursed back to health by a team of volunteers. In the year of 1953, the first ambulance was donated to the group, who had just recruited an ex-military medic, who then started to respond to medical emergencies. By the winter of 1956, the EC:FR movement had also spread to other countries, where the group had expanded into Policing duties. This included response to the 1958 Notting Hill race riots, assisting UK Police Forces. However, the group went into decline in the 1960s and 1970s, with the only remaining active duty station being that of the City-State of EvoCity. However, their luck changed after a large fire which stretched governmental resources to the limit in 1985, and the EC:FR came in to assist, relieving government firefighters and paramedics. This resulted in the EvoCity government granting funding to the EC:FR, an offer quickly finalised by the community of leadership in the EC:FR. On the 1st of October, 1985, the group became a government-backed organization. However, the leader of the administration died on the 23rd of September, 1994, when his car crashed into a sign, which blew up his car. This allowed the deputy-chairman, Jonny Tears, to become the new leader. He then made some broad changes to the structure of the service, which included changing the structure of the department to be more organised, and firing all of the comity but his two deputies, Dr John Internet and Niko "Jan" Catalano, who became the three new leaders of the organization, as they still are today.
The EC:FR is a charitable organisation which is run by the three men and staffed by volunteering citizens which is funded by donations along with government funding.
OOC Information
The purpose of EC:FR is to create a community of roleplayers, that particularly likes being paramedics, firemen and police officers. Our goal is to have server-wide events and provide safety to the State of EvoCity. I often see a set of emergency units which don't communicate very well, ultimately resulting in unnecessary deaths.
We aim at having at least 1-2 evens per month. When accepted in to the organization you will be contacted by the administration with the mandatory readings document, which includes information on how the emergency radio works and more. We will be using FL's TeamSpeak server as our primary in-game communication tool approved by SA team.
We don't mind you being in other clans alongside of EC:FR, we just expect you to deal just in all situations. We will from time to time have minor EC:FR RP's running, which won't be listed on this page, however they will be announced on the Steam group both before and when the event starts.
