To vote for a new map, the problems with the current map need to be acknowledged. And from what i see the main problems are the optimisation and how big the map is.
There are currently to much buildings to be filled in, even on a full server, mainly because players buy 1 property and several use it. Have you ever seen the Syndicate Tower and Minesota Building being used at the same time, 2 really big buildings, but rarely used. Most of the used buildings are around the Nexus and Shopping street, and need a lot of props and in most cases 40 props are used. Although it may be a good dupe, 40 props here, 40 there, and 40 just in the same area, make that area even more lagier, and how the city is made, most of the cars and people are around the nexus, which makes that area very laggy. And this is one of the reason why I think the performance can get really shit. It doesn't help how the map is structured, 3 layers on top of each other, that is why i think the e Nexus area is so laggy.
If we were to be on Pines, it looks beautiful, but how it is made is, most of the buildings are huge and empty, which will mean that a lot of props will be used, and this could make the server laggy. It doesn't help the fact that there are more buildings than V5P or v2d, which means, as seen in V5P, most of them are going to be empty, and because of how it's built, the player base won't be concentrated, which if you have an RP, could make your place not visited for hours to come.
As from what I've seen v2d is enjoyable with 30 players, it doesn't feel empty, but pines will feel very empty with that amount. And one thing to be considered is the fact that on average the server gets around 22 players. https://www.gametracker.com/server_info/...127:27015/
Pines is a better looking version of VP5. However it is for a server that on average gets 60 players, as well as it is on an other game that is optimised.
In the end each of these map has endless roleplay opportunities, however what most of them don't have is good framerate.
