If you get upset for comments people make in-character then you shouldn't be online in the first place.

Are you kidding me dude? You have to be joking, this is the most closed minded and disrespectful thing I've ever heard; and very different from what you said 2 years ago might I add. Just because the internet can be toxic and offensive doesn't mean its an excuse just to go ahead and do it, where has your sense or morals and values gone? Just because racism is in the real world that doesn't make it okay to make made up scenarios in a video game and be a racist asshole when people are just trying to have fun.

This is not about trying to stop peoples ability to roleplay and creativity because that's what makes this community amazing, no its stopping the alienation of those from different races and sexes from enjoying the game and not feeling prosecuted "In pretend" for being who they are.

I actually think Racism "RP" should just be against the rules overall, it's disqusting in real life and it is disqusting online aswell.
Administrators can not and do not deal with it because in 75% of the cases people are racist through their mics, an admin would have to stand next to it at that time to even notice.

Besides, the community clearly has proven it just doesn't work.

Dude you need to chill out. Allowing racism in a ROLEPLAYING game has nothing to do with being close minded or disrespectful. The point of this is to play a role, not be exactly who you are in real life. Why even bother with this server or the internet in the first place if you are gonna get your heart broken by being called a bad word? At the end of the day it's all roleplay, made up bullshit that makes it fun. If you're gonna restrict people from playing it in ways people can be offended then all the fun will be ruined and the roleplay possibilities will be massively limited. You need to toughen up to be honest.

I'm talking about adding stricter rules to what is allowed, sure allowing the use of words, but not out of spite 'because a black person killed your friend' something that actually benefits and adds to your RP, insulting someone isn't RP, if that's what you believe this servers about, it 100% isn't. I can see that removing it fully sure isn't a good idea and would be hard to stop, but job names including the N word, or racial names shouldn't be tolerated at all, it's not beneficial to roleplay. And the argument of being offended from a word is pointless here, I dont take offence to these words, but there's some groups that can, and some people do use IC as a way to just let out their ooc racism.

Take a chill pill. In 2018 it was much worse then it is today, barely anyone abuses these rules anymore these days.

I hold onto my -support.

RE: Stricter rules on controversial comments in game - RedPanda - 04-27-2020

I remain +Support as of current, even if the rules aren’t made stricter it just means actually enforcing the rule in the way it currently stands, OOC discrimination is zero tolerance and in-character must have intricate reasoning and cannot just be done willy nilly.

Edit: Basically what I’m saying is just because it’s in-character or you claim it is, doesn’t mean you’ll get away with it.

RE: Stricter rules on controversial comments in game - Kippsee - 04-27-2020

I will ban someone if caught breaking this rule with clear intent to upset someone else OOC. However I would say we rather allow in IC or not (making the rule black and white), adding more restrictions to the rule will only make it more confusing, thus causing more arguments.

I mean racial slurs, other than the main one of course. They shouldn't be allowed in job titles, rp names, number plates, or anything other than when it suits RP, not because your character has the description 'racist'

I agree that they shouldn't be used in job titles or RP names, not sure if they even are. Pretty sure having a job name like 'Niqqer Blaster' is FailRP, same goes for any character name.
