RE: Building my own PC - Chad - 08-17-2016 If you somehow 'obtain' the OS without it damaging your budget, I'd say this: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/dYhLPs *** Same build as above but without optical drive and sound card: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/7PGYgL *** If you are buying your OS, I'd say this: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/ncF9NN There isn't a huge differance between builds, but the OS one doesn't have a optical drive or sound card which you don't need but are very handy to have. But if you use Steam for games and have no use for a drive then don't have one. And if you always use headphones you don't really need a sound card. I believe all the builds are around €700 but they may be under/over because I'm in £. Yeah. I download all my shit, never use my optical drive. I think a sound card is uneccesary as I can just purchase some speakers. Thanks for the suggestion, I may just use one of these (altering stuff slightly) RE: Building my own PC - Awestruck - 08-17-2016 Any more suggestions are appreciated. I'd still say keep the main components that I suggested like the CPU and GPU (Or swap it out for a slightly better one if you can afford it) and if you need add more RAM. But for the budget you have I'd recommend that or something very similar. RE: Building my own PC - Awestruck - 08-17-2016 I'm gonna bump the CPU up to higher than 3Ghz. 8GB is plenty of RAM. Thanks dude. RE: Building my own PC - NinjaLabs - 08-17-2016 Just call JOHN CENA and you can get in the ring build up dem muscles and steal someones computor from thier hands ;D RE: Building my own PC - Broccoli - 08-23-2016 I recently got the GTX 1060 it's £200-£300 (depending on the retailer) which is quite expensive but it runs like a treat, I can run most of my games at high-ultra settings at a solid 60fps and most triple A titles. I also recommend an AMD processor (I have the FX 8350). They run fine but the real issue with AMD processors are the stock coolers. They're so loud so I would get a better cooler (I have a bequiet pure rock cooler). Finally, I would say that if you can't get the 1060, the 750 Ti isn't that bad for budget but doesn't perform as well. P.S Get an antistatic wrist strap when building, don't make the mistake that I did of short circuiting my motherboard. RE: Building my own PC - Awestruck - 01-28-2017 Found this thread ![]() PC was built. Requesting closure. Specs and parts: Spoiler :
