Whenever I am roleplaying I type 90% of the time. But when I am a police officer, am raiding, or for any other reason that would make it easier on me if I talk I use my mic.

Use my mic Except for /me commands.
I find talking much more realistic and allows a faster paced RP, unless of course you have a high pitched voice.

Muting everyone would be preferable, because with this he wouldn't be able to hear anything.
