The problem is not solely the development.

I hate to break it to you, but if a "big" update comes out and people get attracted to it, use the feature for a couple of days and they get bored of it, then the idea and development are solely the problem.

Nobody asked for the vehicle update xx

Don't know why this turned into a Dev bashing. Fearless thrived before with only one developer and pumping out at least a four times less updates. With that being said I believe the development team needs to rethink their focuses and put more emphasis on things that will actually benefit the server instead of these dink and dunk updates that don't do anything really beneficial. The vehicle update for example doesn't do anything positive. It makes the server look crappy because every single car is shooting out smoke after nudging a curb. The time wasted on that could have been directed to something that directly impacts player experience. No one is getting on FL and choosing to stay longer because they have to buy an exhaust every half hour. The development team needs to figure out why 90% of the server just stands around and does nothing and try and fix that.

Where fearless is lacking is staff team by a land slide. The staff team has been going down hill for a very long time now and at this point needs to be fully revamped. People use to be promoted under the full knowledge that they would not be able to rp that much anymore because your job as an admin is to ensure everyone else is able to rp and not have consistent issues in regards to that. But now you are lucky to get a response. You are lucky to get any intervention at all. The amount of times I have personally called for staff and got no response and have walked on them just rping ignoring all @ calls as if they have them turned off is so disheartening. The team also hasn't had a voice in such a long time either and that is scary going forward because like some have said already I don't see anyone becoming SA out of this lot and truthfully I haven't seen that great of a SA in a while.

You need to be vocal, you need to do YOUR JOB as a staff member and administrate the servers, you need to handle and lead internal affairs in a timely manner, and most important you need to lead by example. The constant trolling every where from the discord to discussion threads just makes it seem like there is no care anymore and everyone is just contempt riding this ship till it finally sinks. The staff team is the real problem and nothing else is going to be fixed until that gets s full revamp. Until then there is no point

Me and Conn were speaking about this yesterday and it saddens me to be honest, if we do not choose to do anything now, then it will be too late. I have never seen FL at a state like this.

The main problem which I believe and have seen quite a lot is the choice to be a role model to others, especially as a high ranked member within the community, wether we are speaking about Teachers, Devs or Admins, this is your responsibility - to make players STAY! I do not want to send out any bad vibes at all to the team nor want to speak negative about anyone, cause they are all great people. But we need to start from above and we as regular players do not have the ability or the power to change anything unless the big ones starts to work their way down.

Let me see this from my perspective of how it felt when I first joined Fearless back in 2013 - I had people forcing me into developing into a great roleplayer, I had staff members who I looked up to since they were having pure leadership skills. I got involved with authentic and serious players directly which made me stay.

Everything is not about the updates people, it's rather time to change the way the people are using their power, and start involving a lot of players into action.

This alone will bring back a player base, get rid of the players who are treating others like shit and develop great individuals.

Just my thought.

- Make ways of people finding the server without just randomly looking on the garry's mod server list near the bottom or asking friends.

- Quickly make more ways of making money that aren't dumb and actually make an economy. Look at the thread in suggestions or ask people for ideas.

- Make updates that aren't just changing our custom vehicle system into enabling vcmod or adding casino stuff.

It’s the circle of life, same as us humans.

Things come and go, it can’t live forever and it’s done extremely well to make it this far, Gmod won’t be getting much more popular let alone this server, enjoy it while you can.

Break out into other games to keep the community alive, it’s the community that matters, not the game we all play on. Plenty other more populated games we can reach out too and bring in a new crowd.

Good to see the admin team themselves had given up on FL.
What a joke.

Bashing developers for releasing updates (albeit maybe not the ones you want) isn't the way to go about things here. It's a surefire way to make us feel under-appreciated. That said, there's definitely plenty of updates that can still be done, and they will be. Maybe some need prioritising more than others (for transparency, we could have a public Trello?)

I'm spending most of my free time now developing for FL, doing stuff that is possible under the constraints of contrib, but without any priority structure or anything similar, I'm not too sure as to what is needed most, this'd be good to help choose what to develop)
Regards,
Connnnnnnn

Consider giving me a rep point here.

Literally no one asked for the vehicle update, there are other suggestions that the community clearly showed their support on them and wanted them to be implemented but for some reason ( That was not even explained on most ) they were not.
