The EvoCity Freedom Party

On 15 July, just under a week ago, a new political party was formed to "fight for EvoCity, its citizens, against corrupt media, and deport all illegal outsiders", pledging to "fight for you". This part is the EvoCity Freedom Party (EFP). The organisation has already gained a large amount of numbers in the 6 days of its existence, and also has large support behind it without such a short amount of time. The party has already sparked friction between itself and a group known as "ClanZ", where in a Twitter post it referred to ClanZ as being "dangerous" and that "they will be dealt with accordingly".

Through a series of Twitter posts, which seem to be the party's main method of communicating it's messages as well as their primary platform, it seems that EFP were to be present during a highly anticipated meeting between ClanZ and another group that rivals them, The Sea Men.

It could be said that the EFP is a populist party seeking to act as a radical force. When we ran a short survey, we found that over 80% of those who took part in our poll supported the party. The party also seems to be acting as if they hold moral highground with a recent exposure tweet that over $12,000,000 was illegally donated to the EvoCity Conservative Party, which has smeared their opponents' popularity over the last few hours.

Who knows what the future holds for the EvoCity Freedom Party? But for now, the future is looking bright for the party.

ClanZ V. The Sea Men?

On 18 July 2019, The Sea Men officially declared war on a rival group known as ClanZ. Not too many details are known, but an open statement directed towards ClanZ by The Sea Men stated "We gave you a chance at peace, we offered you a deal. We mentioned it was deal or death. You have chosen death. Consider yourself an enemy, war has been declared".

When EBC asked ClanZ for a statement regarding the declaration of war, Tyrone "Big" Ounce, the "LeaderZ" of ClanZ retorted with: "There is no war". The Sea Men have yet to make a statement about the declaration of war to EBC News, after being requested for one by the EBC.

Both groups have made it clear that both of their goals is to become the main or only entity of their kind in EvoCity.

Downtown Mechanics

EBC News interviewed the owners of the recently opened "Downtown Mechanics", Jack Grizz and Timothy Luciano. When asked how many customers they received per day, Mr Luciano responded with "It can be pretty slow, most days we get maybe 2 or maybe 3 [customers per day], but yeah it's pretty slow". Mr Luciano responded soundly when asked why he became a mechanic and its importance with "I feel like being a mechanic is kinda necessary, especially for the economy because if there's no-one to repair cars then that's kinda an issue, 'cos then how are people going to get around to their favourite destinations and whatnot".

Both Mr Luciano and Mr Grizz became mechanics 5 years ago in 2014, however they only collaborated to create Downtown Mechanics at the start of July 2019. Both mechanics however only met at the front of what is now their mechanics business when the site was abandoned four months ago when they set up a rollercoaster amusement on the land with permission from the local government, Mr Grizz states that "It was very fun, it took a lot of effort, but in the end it was worth it". Soon afterwards the mechanics became great friends and eventually opened up Downtown Motors on 1 July 2019.

Both Mr Luciano and Mr Grizz expressed interests in expanding their business, by adding a dealership branch in addition to their main mechanics service. When asked what they thought of the recent vehicle engine bombings in EvoCity, Mr Grizz replied with "If your car needs fixing up, just come to us here at Downtown, just make sure to secure your vehicle to prevent these occurrences".
