[Solved] Unable to 'prop search' addons
#1
I have an issue that I cannot seem to find an answer/fix to.

It would appear that for some reason I am unable to search addon content in the 'prop search' bar.

An example of this is when I do a search for 'sofa' I only see the ones from CSS and not the ones from FL Content.

Also if (user) Rin does a search for 'graffiti', 'garage', etc, he sees loads of items that he can spawn, whereas if I do the same seach I get 0 results.

I can go into the FL Content addons (bottom of Q) and look for the items manually to spawn them, I just cannot search for them via the top bar.

Has anyone had this issue before and/or knows a fix?{

Hey Ricoh,

Whilst I am unsure as to how you could fix this issue, you could download Lesanka's spawnlist if you haven't already, then it saves the issue of having to manually search through the files.

Hello again,

This issue seems to be more of a Garry's Mod issue, where it hasn't been fixed in recent updates - https://steamcommunity.com/app/4000/disc...490571981/

This is the alleged solution: "Grab the file "gmad.exe" from your Garrysmod/bin folder and place it in the Garrysmod/garrysmod/addons folder, then drag any of your .gma files onto gmad.exe. It should create a new folder with the name of the addon you extracted. You don't have to do this with EVERY addon- just doing it with one seems to make the search work for all of them. That was enough to fix the problem for my friend!"

Odd, I did try this fix before with no success.
However, I just tried it again and it now works.

Thanks (+rep)
