It's really not a brilliant idea, as it would only be profitable to the richer people, meanwhile the newer people would be able to acquire less profit. Which is really something we don't want.

Contrabands need a rework altogether, and I'm happy to see the team is thinking about a different approach.

That's exactly how it works in arma 3.

You're a newb you do shit runs when you get better and better you join gangs and do the harder runs.

More risk, more reward.

Quick question with this,
What shit runs are there? Running weed isn't a thing because you can't be searched for it and you cannot metagame knowing someone is selling weed to Zak therefore that becomes irrelevant. Weapon runs, aren't a think because if you're delivering weapons they're in your inventory which means they don't show up in a search. Contraband runs aren't a thing because the money appears out of thin air right in-front of you.

A new player could quite easily join a gang, of course. However, issue with that. Experienced players who have a lot of equipment and knowledge of the server and game will target other gangs raiding them constantly therefore new players losing constantly. The gangs of experienced players simply don't take any other person on unless you're known in the AggRP world, so they don't have a chance there for earning money. If they base on their own, they make about a grand then they get raided by the government.
New players stand no chance, and are left with very little options.

When I say a new player, i mean a "newb" to AggRP.

Casinos is indeed a factor to spawning money out of thin air from money packs, casinos make people buying money packs so thus it contributes to spawning money out of thin air.

Can we please see proof of it making people buy moneypacks because they lost in a casino vs buying for any other reason. Again the amount of money moneypacks give is no where near as what contraband made in one day.

I do not have to provide proof to you, because why would someone record people buying money packs to have as evidence for whatever reason? You seem to try to pull the "where's your evidence" card on me, you clearly want to prove me wrong, don't you?

Run casinos for at least 9 months and you will witness it before your eyes.

You do have to provide proof of some sort or your statement is just an opinion, however you are trying to make a point without evidence which  might not be right. I am sure that some people buy moneypacks for that reason, however this doesn't mean it's the majority. As well as even if they do, once again, they have much less of an impact than contraband did.

To comment on the Casino idea, casinos have the potential to make a massive amount of money. Having worked in a bookies and seen the amount of money that goes into Fixed Odds Betting terminals (they host games like roulette, black jack and slot machines) people can shovel in thousands of pounds each day and make a loss.

Roulette is naturally made to be against the user, and is therefore regulated by the gambling commission in the UK (I'm sure other regulator bodies exist in other countries). My point being that if you want to regulate the economy, you need to regulate potential large money making enterprises such as casinos.

You can spin 50K on red and make 50K profit in one spin, however you can loose 50K in one spin. Like Falc and Ghost killer said you need to regulate this, one such being can be a system like the high street bookies use where players have a rating which changes from green, amber to red. Green customers are all set to this by default and have a max bet of say £2500. Customers who make profit on the table are then make either amber or red and monitored. So every bet they make is entered into a database and amber customers have a smaller max limit to bet for example amber could be £1000. But red customers would always be on a bet by bet basis which is authorised by the betting control.

Just a thought that if you want to regulate betting then this may be a good framework to implement. If need be I can go further into the process if it's complicated or I've messed up explaining.

You’ve already been proven wrong since your post is an opinion as you have no proof.

Casinos don't have as close as an effect to the economy as this level of contra farming did. The money came from user to user and didn't always result in people buying money packs.

Good idea to be honest adding this rule, I think it got out of hand.

Ehm... If youre not allowed to buy contraband , then how will you be able to steal it if no one has bought it?

You can't. I've disabled use of the ECM jammer on contraband anyway so you pretty much cannot steal it anymore.
