[Solved] X in game and teamspeak

Hey,

So I've wanted to be on teamspeak for a while whilst being in game, but I don't want to use teamspeak whilst I am talking in game.. what I mean is that I want to mute my mic whilst HOLDING in X in garry's mod. I dont' want it to toogle to muting, but rather just go off whilst the button is pushed in.

Does that make sense?

I've tried to do local mute thing, but that doesn't really work. Anyone got a trick for this?

I'm sure there is a 'Push-to-mute' feature. Similar to push to talk, but the opposite obviously

This is the only way that I know of.

Be careful though as doing it to often will trigger Teamspeak 3s anti-spam defense and will cause your mic to stay muted or unmuted for 2 minutes-ish. Another option would be push to talk bound onto a different key.

That is what I tell people to do 24/7, been using it for years myself.
If you decide to use the above, for your own ears sake disable the "microphone muted", "microphone unmuted" sounds.
