Pat & Mat is a Czechoslovakian/Czech stop-motion animation serie which first aired in 1976. It's about 2 handymen who constantly face self-made problems and solve the problems in most imaginary and impossible ways leading to even more problems but they always get a working result in the end.

The serie reflects the miserable and poor conditions of the era's socialist countries. The creators were accused of making fun of the era's soviet-chinese tensions which is also why its production was banned for a while and the other character's shirt color was changed from red to grey.

The serie is also memorable for its soundtrack which consists of a theme song and a harmonica tune.

Anyone remembers?

It originated in my country, so it was all the rage here. Not a single person who wouldn't know this show. I grew up with it, good memories. Smile
