[SYNDICATE] Containment RP [OLD] [CHECK NEW V2 POST]
#21
I highly disagree that you think this was unorganised, we spent a lot of time (Especially Mike) organising this to make sure it was better than our first attempt for it. The waiting time is meant to be like that, people are infected and a cure is trying to be found, you cannot expect to be tested within 10 seconds each. The KOS sign wasn't what you think it was, if you read it correctly the sign stated that running within the facility would result in a tranq, as would tresspassing with no Overwatch staff there with you.

The killing spree was intended to "Shoot to miss" but others decided to kill all of us overwatch within seconds, which kinda ruined the end RP, so it's a fault and miscommunication.

But we value your opinions on it, and will work together as a clan to improve it for the future.

You Muppet, they are referring to our FIRST run of the RP.

I was talking about the first time you were doing this roleplay as I didn't attend neither knew you had done it a second time yet, I apologize for the miscommunication here.  Smile

The waiting time is meant to be like that, people are infected and a cure is trying to be found, you cannot expect to be tested within 10 seconds each.
I do not expect you to fly throug the whole RP and just do it as fast as possible, but having one doctor for 20+ people just doesn't seem fair to the doctor and neither the citizens. Waiting 1½ hour outside the shack and not actually being in the roleplay, other than doing small roleplays with people in the line just seems hideous to me.  Tounge

The KOS sign wasn't what you think it was, if you read it correctly the sign stated that running within the facility would result in a tranq, as would tresspassing with no Overwatch staff there with you.
Well some people I talked with was reading the sign outside and got shot down nearly instantaneously, not a tranq - might have been miss communication between the two parties but w/e.

The killing spree was intended to "Shoot to miss" but others decided to kill all of us overwatch within seconds, which kinda ruined the end RP, so it's a fault and miscommunication.
As previously stated, don't get me wrong I'm not talking about the second time doing this roleplay but the first time where every "infected" got killed in the end of the RP.

Glad to hear you'll consider what I wrote and work on improving the cons I stated on the previous post.  Wink

Seems like you misunderstood the post and took it as the second time you peeps did it, which it wasn't. Just left a few comments to what you wrote.
-I'm ending here as said previously I don't want it to end up in a big discussion.

Hi SnowredWolf,

I appreciate all types of feedback on this post, so first of all I'd like to thank you for taking the time to write such post in great detail, however, I would like to highlight to yourself and anyone that may now have been influenced by your post, that you are referring to the first test run of the RP. This was not organised nor entirely structured and was more of a random event that had only a dupe and no story line.

This RP was essentially a test to see what we would need for the professional delivery of this role-play. The second time this role-play was executed, was executed after two days of building and planning and involved several staff members. The ending to the first test run was yes, very shabby and wasn't thought through which is why we run tests like so to determine problems. It was a split second decision on how to deal with the contained citizens as the government had already breached and wiped out half our Containment Team - I guess in role-play terms we tried to hide all the evidence of cure tests etc..

The KoS of which you mentioned is in-fact as Falcao highlighted, a misunderstanding. The general rule was that anyone seen walking / running through the tunnel un-escorted would be tranquilized if at a distance or killed in the event of breach attempt or threat to security.

For the record, the second running of the roleplay resulting in 15+ RPP being handed out and it ran for almost 2 hours with continuous passive & aggressive RP throughout. I would be grateful, as you are a spectacular critic, for you to take part in our third running of the event and see just how organised our events really are.

The second ending also played out like so (just so you have an idea on just how organised it was): After a cure was found, the government teamed up with a group of resistance to try and overthrow the Overwatch Guard at the barricade, their raid however failed. Once the resistance was suppressed (plot-twist) the Overwatch (front gate special forces) turned on the Containment Team Security (stationed at the refuge camp and hospital) to retrieve the cure for themselves (as they were actually employed by the government).

The ending resulted in all citizens within the containment to be placed into a helicopter dupe and prepared for evacuation, meanwhile the overwatch made their way down towards the bottom of UM, firing at the Security whilst Security tried to protect the citizens and the cure.

The Security successfully protected the cure and the citizen evacuation and the role play therefore ended.

Many thanks,
Mike

Very well, As it has been requested I shall start detailing some ideas I have come up with as I saw them in my area (UM - Main) Publicly.

Its a simple move But possibly to process Citizens into other areas of the RP faster (we are already doing the actual RP at a acceptable pace) we will need to add a 3rd bed and reassign one researcher to act as a nurse from the first few moments.

Increase the size of the stairs and Infected room, Add a bed in that room. Hospital may need to ether be increased OR build a new site.

Add more "fluff" Objects (trees, ruined cars, crates) around the area.

Actually do a run through to test (I was confused at some points, notably the end where I did not know I had to retrieve the Cure).

As recently promoted Logistics Officer, I will want to inspect the "feel" of all builds. Sometimes in RP form exceeds function.

For my part Ill try to remember the areas we have (forgot about some bins, generators and even the showers).

We may even need a sanitation worker (it got messy).

GENERAL PLOT TEASER FOR CONTAINMENT V2:

Location: Hidden labs (off-map)

Spaces for Roleplayers: Unlimited

Groups involved:
- Lab Overwatch Guards
- Test patients
- The Resistance
- Quarantine Officers
- Medical Staff (researchers and experimenters)
- The infected (possibly NPC's TBC)
- Operation Task Force

More roles may appear as the plan is developed, the general idea is that after the conflict during Containment V1, the surviving security officers and patients retreated to an underground lab. Since the scientist that developed the cure was murdered by the previous rogue Overwatch Forces, the cure was lost and the quest has begun yet again.

This roleplay will include many passive and also some aggresive experiences including human testing, civilization roleplay (patients will have living quarters and their own shared accomodation). Lab staff will be told to conduct random events (no spoilers just yet) and there will be a lot more interaction than experienced in V1.

Ladies and gentlemen, please prepare for Containment Version 2..
