Crash on Connection

sup guys, im kind of at my wits end here

i've applied every possible setting that i could to make connecting easier, and yet i crash every time. I have tried every suggestion that i've seen around these forums, but they've not been able to save me.

since i crashed earlier today, i cannot rejoin the server, because i crash on connection. I've tried everything from restarting my pc to reinstalling gmod with no avail


suggestions?

Did you added -dxlevel 81 to your launch options?

I did a long time ago, and still I sometimes get that problem.

I got exactly the same problem. Didn't have any problems before, and suddenly I crash every goddamn time I try to connect to the server.

Lower the graphics,

yes sir, i did indeed.

i'll try lowering the graphics, or rather ubercharging my graphics card (its at its standard clock level atm)

it's gmod crashes.
for no clear reason, i connect to the server, get through sending client info, and where the F1 menu should show up, i see whatever is in front of me, and hl2.exe stops responding

im downloading EP2 right now, so i'll have to try later.

off topic: does the inventory from evocity_v2d transfer to evocity2?
