Director of Development Promotion & Estleback Monorail V6


Greetings,

This announcement will cover the most recent goings on within the corporation.

New Director of Development

After reviewing both public and internal applicants for the director of development position, I am proud to announce that the Estleback Corporation's new director of development is Sam Davis (Molyneux481).

Though Mr Davis has only been with us for a few weeks, he has shown great loyalty and enthusiasm for the corporation.

On top of this, his experience and record with event planning was a strong indicator to us that he possesses the required qualities for the job.

Though he has only been in his position for a short period, he has already gone out of his way to further the organisation's efforts, and produce ideas and improvements.

I once again thank all other candidates for applying, and sincerely appreciate the time and thought they put into their applications.



Estleback Monorail V6

This evening saw the resurgence of Estleback's monorail system.

I am glad to say that this iteration was better than ever before, implementing a new and more robust movement system that ensured a consistently smooth ride.

The monorail followed a circuit around the city, and featured three stops to help residents traverse the concrete jungle in speed.

After the operation, operatives were taken for a corporate 'day out' to the drift school, and, with an experienced instructor by their side, enjoyed pacing around a drift track.

Alcatraz Contract

In other news, I am pleased to announce that in May we signed a second contract to assume governance over Evocity's historic 'Alcatraz' prison.

Following our first detail at the location in 2017, a detailed refurbishment plan was produced and was finally put in motion after the signing of the new contract.

Unfortunately, due to COVID social distancing restrictions, progress has been slow, and the entire restoration has not been completed.

However, a substantial part of the prison, including the foundations, has been updated, and we are ready to resume activity at the location on the 19th June 2020.

Thanks to easing of social distancing measures, completion of the refurbishment work is expected to be at the end of August.

The Grand Reopening of Alcatraz


Greetings,

Following its recent moderate refurbishment, the 19th June 2020 marked the first day of Estleback's new government contract to manage and govern Evocity's 'Alcatraz' prison.

Proceedings started with the processing of new inmates, followed by their transportation from Evocity's nexus prison to Alcatraz using a prison bus.

Soon after arrival, prisoners were shown to their new home: their cells.

Succeeding this introduction, standard prison proceedings ensued, and prisoners underwent activities such wood chopping, woodwork and stone mining.

The rest of their day consisted of visiting the canteen for food, showering, and leisure time in the yard.

Estleback's prison detail were forced to deal with several incidents such as disobedient and aggressive prisoners, a poisoning, and a prison riot.

Aggressive prisoners were taken to 'the shoe' (solitary confinement), cells and prisoners were systematically swept to find the culprit behind the poisoning, and the riot was successfully held back. 

On top of this, the president and vice-president came to visit the facility to inspect the standards.

Thank-you to everyone who came to the event and participated! Despite this event being one of the hardest we've ever had to organise and put on, we're all really happy by how it turned out.

We're likely to do another in the future set at the end of the prison's refurbishment, continuing prison life.

We have of course learned a lot from this first event, and plan to refine the formula to make it even more interactive and enjoyable.

Public Opening Hours Report 24/06/20

 

Yesterday's public opening hours saw us again reside in our city headquarters.

After our office segment, operatives partook in convoy and arms training, where we practised vehicle take downs and communication skills.

Throughout the opening hours, the president kept bouncing the taxes around the 20-40% mark, and eventually banned vehicles.

After multiple attempts to peacefully address these issues with diplomacy, we were left with no choice but to take the president and his regime down.

I am glad to report that there were no Estleback casualties in any of the raids that were conducted.

CFO Announcement

 

I am glad to announce that we have a new member joining our senior team, this time filling the position of our chief field operative.

Over the last two weeks in his initial probationary appointment, Kevin has proven to us that he has what it takes to excel in the position of CFO.

He will be working on increasing the strength of our security division, and providing further training to our operatives to help us surpass our already world class capabilities.

I wish him luck, and look forward to witnessing the great job he will do in his new position

Estleback Boot Camp - Day 1

 

The 15th of July 2020 marked the first day of our new boot camp initiative, which aims to further our security team's already world class capabilities.

After arriving to our training facility, operatives revisited the basic principles of combat and weapon handling, including quick drawing, and weapon control during sustained fire. These principles were tested and put into practice by a visit to our shooting gallery.

Following this, members of the course were split into two groups, and were pit against each other in multiple realistic combat scenarios, including an embassy siege, and industrial warehouse raid.

These competitive training arrangements made use of life-like airsoft weaponry and rubber bullets, with the aim of getting operatives as acclimatised to high-pressure combat situations as possible.

After multiple competitive air soft rounds, day one of our boot camp course was finished with practice of our 'hostile vehicle take down procedure'.

All in all, it was an extremely beneficial session for all 8 operatives who were present throughout the training.
