Greetings,

Thank-you for your enquiry. Current applicants (DVN, Sharpshooter and MrFinn) do not need to re-post their application in the new official forum section, only new applicants from this point on.

Kind regards,

Greetings,

In light of his sudden return back to Evocity, I would like to welcome Operative Rodriguez (General Weed) back to duty! I look forward to working with you again.

In other news, watch out on Sunday the 23rd April 2017 at 4PM GMT for Estleback activity in V4b1! As hopefully informed by the new application manager, Noah Grayson, all applicants who have already had their OOC interview are to attend. Meet us at the Estleback HQ, which will be apparent on the night. Again, a reminder to all current Estleback Operatives to check the private communication HUB for information about this event.

Kind regards,

Operation Retail

Yesterday, Estleback launched 'Operation Retail'. Operation Retail, even though carrying a self explanatory and thin name, had two layers. On top of the operation, and what was of paramount importance, was the idea of selling merchandise to citizens. I am pleased to report that this part of the operation was a complete success, with our team shifting roughly $800,000 worth of stock.

The second layer consisted of presidential protection. At the origin of our operation, we maintained good relations with the government, and were contracted to provide their security. However, they were voted out of office, and a new government took their place. They did not wish to renew the previously standing contract, and believed the defences provided by the Strategic Response Team were good enough. After leaving, it was apparent that this 'socialist' government was doing nothing but oppressing its citizens, as certain personality types were outlawed which ultimately serves as manufactured discrimination. As per our agenda as a peacekeeping organisation, we intervened and removed this dictator from power; his security, may I add, was appalling.

After his removal, a democratic President was elected. We established great relations and served as his security detail until we decided to wrap up.

Overall, this operation saw complete success on both layers.

In other news, I am pleased to welcome Mr Callum Devine (DVN) and Mr Finn Conlon (MrFinn) to our ranks as new Estleback Trial Field Operatives. They joined us in Operation Retail, as per new post application procedure, and both showed excellent standards which we look for in our applicants.

Kind regards,

Alcatraz

On the 28th April 2017, Estleback took control of and ran the famous prison 'Alcatraz'. The seemingly unthinkable move from the government to reinstate this infamous institution comes at a time when crime rates are at an all time high, and regular state prisons cannot cope with the uptake of prisoners needed to suffice requests of the judicial system

In the terms of the contract, it stated that Estleback, though working on behalf on the government, had control of the prison and its internal policies; this meant we could run it how we saw fit.

After briefing the operatives as to what was going to happen at our city HQ, via our Estleback helicopter, we flew to the prison. We then secured, maintained and started to run the facility. After the posts for our operatives were set, inmates started to arrive at the premises. They were escorted to and contained in the main holding cells, and enjoyed a routine of lunchtime and recreation in our yard.

Although most of the prisoners were compliant and followed the prison rules, some remained rowdy, and were punished accordingly. Visitation rights were authorised on some occasions, and relatives and friends of those held in the prison were given time to talk in a guarded room.

The President who we established the initial work contract with arrived at the facility, and was given a tour. However, after his visit, he was soon voted out of office, and another party took his place. In the new President's first public address, he proclaimed that prisoners should be treated as second class citizens and have no rights. He also made it very clear that it was against the law to do anything other than what he says; you had to obey his word, not matter what. Estleback disagreed with these ideas, and as we were about to schedule a meeting with him, we were surprised when his Presidential convoy turned up outside of the main gate.

I went outside and greeted the new President. He wanted a meeting, so I took him inside to our meeting room and we had a talk. He wanted me to sign a contract with one term: do anything that he says. I managed to talk him into changing the wording of this term to include the phrase 'within reason', which he accepted to. However, he also wanted me to ensure the prisoners were tortured and treated as second class citizens, as they are 'inhuman', as he described them.  Naturally, I refused, which resulted in him threatening to get his SRU and Police team to raid Alcatraz, which would inevitably lead to a firefight between our two parties.

I ordered my operatives to storm the meeting room and to arrest the criminal. This came directly after he verbally admitted to having further dictatorial intentions. He was then escorted upstairs into one of our jail cells. Ironically, he was now a prisoner, and as by his law, he would have been treated as an 'inhuman'. However, as a peacekeeping organisation, we put ethics first, and treated him meritocratically and consistently with the rest of our prisoners, which was with respect and kindness.

However, as he no longer had the means to respond to warrants, two problems arose. Firstly, no new inmates could arrive at the institution. Secondly, his Presidential security that were waiting outside were becoming suspicious of his disappearance. I was alerted that the Police and SRU were getting ready to raid. I struck a deal with him that if I let him go, he will order his forces to back down. He agreed, but with the condition that we only use tranquilliser guns from that point onwards.

It was obvious that an attack was imminent, no matter if I let him go or not. They would raid to free him from captivity, or he would order them to raid us out of anger, after believing we only had the passive protection of tranquillisers. I let him go, and immediately ordered all of my operatives to the top floor. As we were reportedly vastly outnumbered, I felt the most appropriate action would be to abandon the prison. Operatives were ordered to release the prisoners and escort them out of the secret exit. As all prisoners were escorted to safety, the raiding party broke through the entrance and started to search the prison, capturing one unlucky Operative Panda. However, as they were unaware of the secret exit, all other operatives and all compliant prisoners escaped with us. Casualties from either side were at 0, which is considerably better than the bloodshed that would've ensued if we would have stood our ground.

From them on, Estleback were banned from EvoCity for 'terrorist attacks'. Operative Panda masterfully escaped from captivity and joined the rest of us at a secure location. While we were planning our attack to remove the dictator, a news broadcast informed us that he had gone off of the grid, and his leadership had dissolved. A new, ethical, government was put in place.

We turned in the remaining prisoners to the new government, and then returned to Alcatraz to lock the place up. The contract was terminated by the new government.

Greetings,

A couple of announcements today.

Firstly, as it is the first day of the month, it is time to announce 'employee of the month' for April. Jazzles has shown excellence in most areas of Estleback operations, and has even set up his own independent EBC role plays. This external dedication made him worthy of winning this award.

Secondly, I regret to inform you that George Wright (Eclipze) handed me his resignation yesterday. He will be missed, and I wish him good luck with future endeavours.

Kind regards,

Director of the Estleback Corporation
