FL Survey April '24
#11
Based on the April 2024 survey insights, it's evident that Fearless RP has a dedicated community with deep emotional connections. If FL ever went back online, to enhance the experience we should focus on reintroducing community-driven events. Simplifying game mechanics to make it easier for new players to join and for returning players to re-engage, to increase player retention by lowering the entry barrier and reducing complexity. Loosen overly strict rules to allow more player-driven content and scenarios to encourage creativity and spontaneity, making the game more enjoyable and immersive. Optimizing server environments with smaller maps will increase player interactions. Bring back popular features from the past while introducing new elements that align with current trends, balancing nostalgia with modern elements will attract both old and new players. Training staff to be approachable, fair, and transparent moderation will build trust and a positive community atmosphere.

To attract new players, I recommend starting with posting memorable and funny videos on TikTok 3 to 5 times a week. These can be old videos shared by members in the past, or new videos if FL started running again. Create an FL hashtag and engage with comments on the platform. Show events, raids, defending bases, passive roleplays, cringe moments, police, etc. The goal is to bring back the nostalgia in old people like us that played Gmod in the past, and entice them to try out FL. They have the money to donate. Also, to attract the newer generation there needs to be an alignment with the current trends on TikTok with FL and the rules to be loosen a bit. It's all about approachability, fun, and creativity.
