The only things that get deleted are blatant toxic replies and posts. Current toxic-to-constructive post ratio is too high on objective scale, so admins are just doing their job. It's hard to find anything constructive in "Pollux bad, admins bad".

Wouldn't you try to remove off-topic and out of context toxicity on idea-gathering open-discussion posts?

Censorship= bad.

The posts i refer to were a dialogue with staff, basically just answering their questions, then get 100% warning point and censored as soon as i made sense.

and as stated.Censorship = Bad. Anyways. Fearless been down for almost 3 months anyway lol. Conn/pollux, samesame. Nothing new happend, nothing new will happen.

I hate to break it to you, but pretty much no one who works 40+ hours a week wants to come home and babysit a bunch of idiots on a gmod roleplay community that is 15 years old.

So it's difficult to find people who are willing to respond and take stuff seriously, because it's not a job, it's a hobby.

It genuinely baffles me why people have invested money into it, might as well have put all the money into Roulette at the Casino, at least then you might get lucky and get some of it back.

I'll be frank, this is an issue. Especially when there's a lot of people who seem to want to just cause sit and fuck around and cause issues instead of actually giving a shit about FL.

You'd have to ask them for that one tbh. Maybe it's less about making money for them and more about the community, idk. I'll ask others to put their input here though.

As you have said yourself, for those who work on improving the server, it isn’t a job, it’s a hobby. Giving the community the best chance at lasting is all that matters to those who have invested in it, and since it isn’t a job, getting the money back isn’t a top concern.

Two key points to sum up this whole thread and Fearless right now.

1. What's happened

Fearless is old. Not just a couple of years "this is kinda boring old". 2008 old. It's not "rockin' around the clock" anymore, it has simply ran out of time. FL, much like a business, has a churn rate. A churn rate is the rate of how many players find FL and how long do they stay before they leave/become inactive. Over time, because of so many substantial changes, roadblocks and general internal blips (which is totally normal), it's caused the churn rate to increase heavily making it near impossible to catch up. FL is at a stage where it's too far gone to get old players to come back and invest time in the server + not interesting enough to attract brand new players and keep them on the server.

2. What needs to happen

To tell you the truth, I don't actually know. The current team somehow have to find the magic formula that will balance out retention (bringing back the older players) and prospecting (bringing in the new players) which is seriously tough. Old players have moved onto new gamemodes/games (making it harder for them to come back and invest time here again) + the new players we desperately need are probably playing other games beyond Gmod.

Everyone is so quick to bring down new attempts to revive the server which is a shame. I think if those people were plonked in the driving seat of the revival and could see how much of a mammoth task it is, they'd be a little more understanding.

I'm not sure how the next phase will go but it's not over yet, clearly!
