If you do start looking into RP maps... I'd suggest you map in 1/4 scale . That way the player can be resized and the map becomes bigger ;)

What about prefabricated structures for builds? Take a 6x6 plate and 'hollow' it out to accomodate window and door frames. The same could be repeated for either sides of a house in varied shap...
