Browser Switch - Divey - 12-31-2019

Today I am announcing that Fearless will be switching its server listing from our traditional CityRP, to DarkRP. This was a topic that was brought up in our community survey a couple of months ago and although the community thought at the time it was a bad idea, it seems that the current playerbase believe it is a suitable option, as well as the Fearless team believing that it is within our best interest to swap to this listing.

We of course, will not be swapping the core of our gamemode, everything is staying the same including how our gamemode works, as well as our server rules. This is simply to make sure Fearless is seen more in Garry's Mods current climate. Many other servers have followed suit and the category is now full with serious and semi-serious gamemodes alike, some of which contain custom CityRP gamemodes and are in fact at the top of the DarkRP list.

We are aware that although this will likely bring us some new players, it will also be sure to bring us some players who are looking to commit all sorts of rule break - as the category is known for attracting such behaviour. In order to combat this, we are bringing several new features.

First of all, there will now be an alert for when a player joins for the first time. This will be especially helpful for our Teacher team, so that they will be equipped to help guide them on how our servers work.
Second of all, we will be bringing back job restrictions. Police Officers will now have a 4 hour waiting time until players can access the role - so that we don't have newer players taking advantage of the weapons locker.
Finally, we will be making a change to how our ragdolls work, which will help newer and older players alike. Ragdolls will now be no-collided, meaning that you can no longer step on players in order to kill them in case they were sleeping, unconscious or injured.

RE: Browser Switch - Idea - 12-31-2019

And there goes the RP aspect of FL

EDIT:
Despite all good will of you, with the well known improveable acitivity of the staff, the server will turn into a mingefest with this change.
Restricting Police won't do the job either. People start with $10.000, which is enough to get ammo and a rifle as Gun Dealer upon joining

I hope to see proper improvement with the staff along this change, otherwise FL will no longer be what it was. The development improved a lot lately, would be a shame if it was for nothing.

EDIT EDIT:
Couldn't be happier that stuff did not happen.

Not a good decision, community didn't vote for it.

No-collided ragdolls and the police hour requirement was a welcome surprise. Though what kind of no-collision is applied to ragdolls? Does it only affect player and ragdoll collision, or is it like the no-collision tool which disables collision with world objects like cars and such?
