Should Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia leave the EU? - £10 Cro - 09-14-2018

As some of you may know, last year the states of Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia came under fire from the EU. During the time of the war against ISIS, hundreds of thousands of refugees were offered a safe place by the EU in Europe. However, the above countries, either declined to take refuges or only took a so called "dozen". This has led the EU politicians to threaten  these countries with sanctions, for protecting their countries population and culture.

Furthermore, leftist-groups have also started attacking these countries. For example, last years Polish independence march came into the news with titles such as "largest neo-nazi meetup in history", which is Ironic since almost 25% of the Polish population was wiped out by Nazis only 60 years ago.

I would just like to hear your thoughts on these countries who are protecting themselves against the EU and its so called "refugees" which about 6/10 of are coming to Europe for "Economic reasons" rather than getting away from war. I as a Pole strongly support what my country is doing and find the EU and media racist for calling one of the most beautiful, and biggest independence marches a white supremacists one.

Yet it was also Poles who collaborated with Nazis in WW2-along with other nations. The Ustaše was supportive of Nazis despite being from a Slavic country, as with the Ukrainian Liberation Army. I wouldn’t go as far as calling them neo-Nazi, but the far-right does rally around normally innocent celebrations such as this. Granted, the decision wheter to leave the EU or not lies within the people.
Not to add that most of Polish nationalism is founded in myths and semi-truths

You may want to look at the larger picture, these so called "collaborators" were small fractions of the Polish populations with far-right views. Im not going to say it didn't happen as it did, however you, along with the media concentrate on the things that stand out, which were the neo-nazis present. Also, alot of people believe that this march happened due to the rejection of the refugees, but it has been happening for years and the media used this one to create a good story for the papers.

Also, Polish nationalism is purely founded on our Catholic beliefs and our will to keep our culture safe.

You’re implying Catholicism isn’t based on myths
OT: Your post is full of semi-truths. WW2 was well over 60 years ago, and less than 25% of Polish people died. Poland is a cesspool of far-right neo-fascists right now, I doubt it’d survive out of the EU. While I’m no fan of refugees, that doesn’t make pseudohistoric ultranationalism legitimate.
