So i wanted to get rid of my police car after i switched jobs, but it turns out i could actually drive it.

Why wouldn't you be able to drive it?
If you steal a police car as a civ you're able to drive it away.

He means that when he switched to citizen, his police car from when he was a police officer didn't despawn and he was still able to drive it.
Perhaps the new car hasn't been coded the same as the other government vehicles were when you switch jobs the vehicle despawns?

I believe the development team is aware of this and are working to patch this issue.
In the meantime if you switch jobs and need to get rid of the vehicle it would be best to call an administrator as I nearly blacklisted you last night thinking you stole it haha.

This bug has resulted in many funny situations. For example, Ryan F went round driving in his police car as a citizen, and over the radio said "Hello, this is Bob Bobby Bobberson, that demoted police officer that refuses to not drive his police car". LOL.
OT - Should be fixed soon, but it is cool tho.
